Board Reporting
Executive summary
The opening statement of position, written from the scored result rather than composed separately, so it cannot disagree with the pack.
What it is
A short statement of the overall governance position: the score, the band, and the weighting it was derived across.
Why it is generated rather than written
Because a hand-written summary and a computed score drift. A summary derived from the same result cannot contradict the page beneath it.
What it says when there is no rating
Where confidence is below High, the summary reports insufficient evidence rather than a number, and says what was and was not scored. It does not soften that into an approximate position.
What it deliberately omits
Any comparison against other organisations, any statement of business impact, and any recommendation beyond what the evidence supports.
What it does not mean
It is a summary of the assessment, not of your organisation's risk posture. The assessment sees one account's configuration at one moment.
