Offering
The named product an engagement is recorded against, and the gate that stops one being fulfilled by an assessment that would not deliver it.
What it is
The product an engagement is for. Two offerings map to the read-only AWS governance assessment; ten others are recorded for enquiry purposes only.
Why it gates dispatch
Before the gate existed, every offering type was accepted and produced the same AWS assessment. An engagement sold as one thing received a report that was not the thing that was sold.
How GovIntel applies it
The API refuses to dispatch any offering outside the supported list. The workflow refuses again, independently, before any AWS credential is issued.
What it does not mean
An intake-only offering is not a promise of future work. It records what somebody asked about, so a conversation can happen. It cannot be fulfilled by running an assessment.
